Annual Open Enrollment
Period in which you and/or your family can enroll in an individual plan. This period is November 1st through January 15th each year.
Special Enrollment Period
If you or your family has experienced a major life event, you may qualify for a new health plan or change in your coverage.
In most cases, you have 60 days from the qualifying life event date to apply for a health plan and provide the required documentation. In addition, most qualifying events require you to prove that you had minimum essential coverage for at least 1 day of the last 60 days to qualify.
